The rich and wide archive of social practices and political performances, demonstrations and occupations in public space during the last five years get into the theoretical and practical interest of the workshop. An open interpretation of the term «political» embodies the aesthetic dimension of political act as well as the political dimension of artistic practices. Public art is included in the focused area. The workshop aims to understand the political action in terms of bodily movement and lingual expression. Divided in groups and working together the workshop conceives and realizes three different acts/performances in the center of Thessaloniki, that try to interact with the political life of the city. The State Museum of Contemporary Art – Thessaloniki supports the act and contributes to the workshop with the presentation of Kostaki collection and the «agit-prop» structures of the Russian Avant Garde included in it.
