LEARNING OUTCOMES
The studio focuses on multiple housing. Coexistence, density, hierarchy, the relations between public and private, the relation between the building and the urban environment, the internal structure of the building are some of the main issues of the studio.
SUBJECT
Students will design a block of flats in the centre of the city of Volos.
Starting within a series of weekly exercises at the beginning of the semester, the students are encouraged to research the coexistence of typologies of flats, the relation of the vertical and horizontal circulation systems, the relation of the blocks of flats with the surrounding dense urban environment.
