Biography
Antonis Hadjikyriacou is Assistant Professor ofOttoman and Turkish History at Panteion University and Affiliated Scholar at the Center for Spatial and Textual Analysis at Stanford University. He has worked and taught at Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Princeton University, SOAS, the Institute for Mediterranean Studies/Foundation for the Research and Technology-Hellas, and the University of Cyprus.His research and teaching adopts a Mediterranean-wide perspective and employs Critical GIS tools and Digital Humanities methods for the purposes of social, economic, and environmental history of Ottoman Cyprus. His monograph Peninsular Island: Cyprus and the Ottoman Mediterranean during the age of revolutions has been recently published in Greek by Psifides Publications.
