In the present thesis we will try to approach the various spatial aspects of Lilipoupoli with the aim of their educational and cultural utilization. This thesis is a continuation of the research study on the theme: “Here Athens, Here Polytechnic, Here Lilipoupoli – aspects of the urban condition in Athens the Metapolitefsi era, through a kid’s radio broadcast named ‘Lilipoupoli’’. The structure of the research-synthesis course presents the following three parts: firstly the highlighting of the existing pictorial approaches of Lilipoupoli by other illustrators-artists historically, secondly the highligting of the research elements that were utilized from the research study to the final synthesis, and thirdly how the dialectical relationship of the previous parts led to research models, visual exploration and final interpretation of the world of Lilipoupoli. This kid’s broadcast of 70s, which was transmitted by the Third Programme of the Greek Radio during the period 1977-1980, constitutes until today point of reference in children’s dramaturgy, setting as the goal of the present thesis its educational and cultural utilization through various spatial aspects. Finally, it is proposed a participatory board game, for children and adults, turning the rescued 133 episodes into a perpetual field of free expression, subversion and creation in the imagination of each participant. The timelessness and radical nature of Lilipoupoli unfold universal journeys, in which dream, imagination and poetry penetrate the capacity.

The present thesis entitled "Seminar venue with accommodation in the former mines of Atalanti" concerns the surrounding area of the Vivos Roiditsa area in Agios Ioannis Theologos Fthiotidas, in Greece, which functioned as a transport and loading area for ferro-nickel ore mined from the Tsouka area of Martinos Fthiotidas. In order to serve the needs of the mine, 5 buildings, 2 intermediate pillars supporting the aerial railway and a bridge had been built on the plot, which in 1997 and 1998, were declared as preserved.

Through our diplomacy we want to emphasize and highlight the industrial heritage of the plot but also its natural landscape, which is of particular interest as it is part of the protected rocky area. In addition, the seminar venue that will be created is favored by the location of the plot as it is easily accessible from N.S. Athens - Lamia and as there is no corresponding space in all of Greece that operates purely and only for holding seminars with residence without combining further uses. In this space, visitors (local community, factory workers, students-academics, visitors from all over Greece and abroad) have the opportunity to get closer to nature but at the same time to socialize and interact with people with similar interests.

This interaction, beyond the seminars, will be able to continue in more individual activities that visitors may choose during their free time (outdoor and non-outdoor activities), but also during their rest (sleep). For this reason, two different typologies are proposed for housing. The first is a collective residence for guests with 9 beds in the same residence and the second a more private residence, with 2 beds per residence.

In addition to the workshops and residences, the site also includes a reception area with toilets and storage, an area for outdoor activities and events with a multi-purpose room, an outdoor kitchen and toilets, an outdoor amphitheater, a recreation area with a restaurant and cafe, a local product shop, periodical exhibition space, reading room with workshop rooms and a walking route.
