The name “3MP BOX” stands for: “micro mobile multiuse public box”. It refers to a prefabricated unit, able to be mass produced, and mainly intended for public use.
Based on observations of public activities, fictional scenarios are developed forming the basis for a more comprehensive spectrum ranging from buying and selling food and newspapers, to speeches and mini concerts. Modules can then be chosen and combined to form the “public nucleus”: a reinterpretation of the typical kiosk or the typical food-selling cart.
3MP BOX is formed with the use of o demountable cubic frame, onto which standard clip-on elements are then attached. These standard elements, in the form of frames, can also be customized with the use of even smaller standard elements. Altogether we have the basic frame elements, the floor and ceiling elements, the vertical panels, and the elements used for the connection of units. For every set of elements there is a wide variety of choice, from material to form, and components are available that can be added. The system’s flexibility is based on its ability for movement as much as the wide range of clip-on elements. The different combinations of these elements can produce an unlimited number of solutions that can adjust to an equally unlimited number of circumstances.

In one of the fictional scenarios that were developed, industrial 3MP BOX is placed in a specific location and functions as a “printed material magnet”. Its aim is to define and imprint the location’s so called “printed identity”. One of the project’s basic goals is to provoke public interaction. The everyday man, as an image receiver, is asked to recompose these incoming images in public space and thus be an active part of the “image-making act” in his city. The moment, the place, the random element and public interaction, are all factors in the composition of an ever-evolving play that takes place on the box’s panels. When the box or the boxes relocate, all panels are replaced and a new act /“collage” begins. At the same time other activities can as well be hosted in the boxes transforming them into “public-life nuclei”.
Within this conceptual scenario, there was an attempt for a real time application, in a specific location, using a handmade structure.

“… let’s bring in the light the concealed forms that engage the scattered strategy and improvised creativity of teams or individuals…
When they are pushed to their ideal limits, these activities and subterfuges constitute a network powerful and autonomous…”
Using this phrase, by Michel Le Certeau, as a starting point and based both in personal experience and in historically recorded exploitations of urban web, as a means of entertainment, a network of spaces that promote communication, between the individuals that select to wander in the city and share with others their various ways of expression, is created in Volos. This possibility is offered via the storage (in digital or traditional media) of pictures, sounds, animation and texts that each user of the manufacture will want to expose in common view; the manfacture is placed in certain blind aspect of blocks of flats. The scenarios of approaching the manufacture include from simple ascension until complexer movements drawn from the vocabulary of parkour, and are indicated with special labelling in most important points of the courses.

In the frantic paces that are imposed by the modern way of living in the city, being in motion is a daily routine for most of its inhabitants, moving to work, to fulfil different obligations and social affairs. In a time that the quality of life is inevitably connected with time, saving every minute is more of a stressful goal rather than a promising, of that quality, idea. Roads get crammed with cars, taxi -cabs, buses, electric trolley buses, trams- passengers are jammed in wagons and even in the case of the private vehicle’s comfort or the theoretical instant, private convenience of a taxi, the street’s traffic, the every day’s jam, that can be created everywhere by the most insignificant cause, transform the transit to the desirable destination into a stressful and hectic procedure-a waste of the valuable, ‘modern’ time.
In the city of Athens, a characteristic example of a city with such problems, is where the present study is focusing, suggesting the installation of a new, suspended mean of public transport, the HypAIRtram.
The HypAIRtram is a mass transit system, with characteristics similar to those of the train and metro, such as the fixed frequency of vehicles passing, the predefined routes, the massive service of passengers, moving in a level that does not affect, at least directly, the city’s circulation in total. Its connection with the ground and the urban life is accomplished with vertical circulation axis. This vertical displacement of a public use-function in the city’s aerial space further creates a new level-field of growth for public activities-uses, similar to those that are often developed near or along with the public transportation networks of the ground level.
The placing of the HypAIRtram is proposed to the existing tram’s route from Syntagma to Glyfada, replacing it and mainly taking advantage of the urban adjusting that the areas crossed by the tram have already been subjected to.
The basic elements of the network that have been studied are the vehicles, the supporting pylons, that are placed every 100m, the stations-public platforms, in a 400m distance, a central station with additional functions and uses of public character in the beach of Edem and the terminal station where the vehicles are being repaired and stored.

Over the landscape of Earth lies anotherone. An immaterial and invisible one that is being composed by the digital exchange of data. We realize its presence by using media (tv, mobile phones etch). Media interface and decode for us all the infos that networks broadcast.
This digital infoscape tends to be endless and overextended. Almost everything is related to it.
A procedure that interferes into radio and tv networks is proposed. A mechanism that uses media in order to create problems to the networks.
A radio transmitter, a tv transmitter and a portable radio – tv set are combined. A portable kit is created. This new midi can block the incoming tv and radio signals.
The mechanism was used during three performances. Three void immaterial spaces were created and designed as a proposal of void spaces into networks.

Architecture’s tension towards the ecological and economical constructions during the last few years sets new targets in the hull planning (passive architecture) as well as in the planning of the systems that are being used (active architecture).
The study of the placement, the way of building’s construction, the technical obstacles (neighboring buildings), the geophysical and physical elements ( ground, trees, sun, wind ) sets the targets and the limitations on the design.
Technical methods attribute the necessary levels of lighting and heating to the space covering in this way all the human needs for visual and thermic comfort.

The study’s main theme was an idea of a graduate paper that has to do with the human construction, the shore and the water element. Such constructions are common in the Pagasiticos gulf area, mainly the traditional shipwright units that used to be operated. Even though the minor shipyard industry was in decline during the past decades, new designers are trying to readdress their work in today’s mostly competitive market.
Therefore, it was decided that a ship building-repairing yard would be designed, with emphasis on its liability within the confines of Greece.
During the study, an effort was made to address every functional need as those are dictated by contemporary conditions, as well as rendering the ship construction work easier and less demanding on human resources. On the other hand, it was decided that the study would face the symbiotic matters that arise from such dwellings, in terms of integrating the construction to the environment.

This project concerns the recreation of the area of the marine club, in Chios, and its main objective is to re-identify its nature as a site for sports and entertainment. The site is situated nearby the central port of the island, where a landfill to the sea has recently changed its coastline. Nowadays, the old and abandoned facilities of the marine club are adjacent with an open-air parking space. The central location of the site and especially the modern style building of the marine club influenced the central concept idea of the project: The making of a building complex around a yachting marina of an elliptical shape.
The total area includes:-yachting marina –Windsurfing and rowing buildings-Central building (locker-rooms, engine room, conference room, office space, gym etc) -pool (children-adult)-underground parking space-square- Island (club-bar)-footbridge-anchorage.
