Floating arena is designed on a floating platform that becomes a temporary extension of the city. The platform can move from one place to another as needed. The project provides a football stadium which is designed according to international standards, as well as rooms for players with facilities, restaurants, media rooms, a sports museum, gym, clinics and health units. There are two types of terraces to the four sides of the stadium. One is an open area with a visual contact why the sea, while the other is a closed area which can turn into a cinema hall.

The project was implemented in several stages, each stage documented in a research that is published in a booklet. The first booklet is related to the Gaza Strip as a first location for the platform. Gaza is a coastal area consisted of five cities, all overlooking the 40-km Mediterranean coast beach. This project is considered a vital need for the city because Gaza is one of the world's most populated areas, living a tense political situation that has made of the sea the only outlet for people, and has made of Football one of the most popular sports in the city. The second research is about football in Gaza and the nature of stadiums and teams that are currently competing. The third research/booklet is about the nature of platform where a football playground will be built. This included a study of existing buildings, ships and oil rigs stands. The fourth booklet contains the initial designs and visions of the project. The fifth booklet is a second draft of the initial designs, which focused on developing the designs and providing a mathematical equations to calculate the slope angle of the terraces. The sixth booklet is a study of the football stadium and its interior facilities according to international standards. The seventh booklet included a design of the playground area and choosing the nature of the grass required.

The final image of the project is a reflection of its title. Floating in this case, represents the uprooting of the political, economic and social circumstances in Gaza. On the other hand, arena represents the violence existing in sports and specially in football. Arena therefore is microcosm of the larger arena, that is Gaza.

The thesis deals with the creation of a public standard Sports School in the space of "T.L.C." (Thessalian Liquor Corporation), whose sports facilities are open to public during the hours that the school remains closed.

The "T.L.C.", commonly known as "Alcohol" is an industrial complex, which remains abandoned within the urban area of the city of Volos and is a source of contamination and degradation. Specifically, the factory is located in the district Agioi Anargiroi, a purely residential area with a few local small businesses and mostly degraded.

The thesis proposes the creation of a new building in the center of the site, in which the courses will be held, the sports facilities are placed on the west side and the other supportive uses are housed on the east side, where the industrial complex exists. The school gives the students and teachers of sports schools of other cities the opportunity to visit and stay there, as it provides guest houses. In addition, healthy meals are offered to the students throughout the school hours.

Regarding to the design part, the existing stone buildings are preserved, a factwhich contributes to thepromotion of the historical and aesthetic value of the factory,as it is a landmark. The design of the new building follows an orthogonal grid and is made of concrete. Furthermore, there are created some boxes of oxidized steel plates in specific places, which form the relaxation areas. In addition, the new building is placed in such a way on the site, so that there is a connection with the old ones and creating at the same time the schoolyard between them. Finally, since the indoor sports facilities require height, purpose was to submerge them partly under the ground with the aim of integrating them to the heights of the area buildings.

Physical education and sports are meansofeducation and recreation and through the reuse the factory complex will be transformed into a living cell of culture and social actions, which should lead to rising growth of the regions development.

The diploma project concerns the design of a near net zero mobile medical unit for Ebola virus in West Africa. According to doctors working in countries such as Africa, where there are difficult conditions on hygiene and management of drinking water as well as the drainage system, such a unit in crisis situations, is essential. The reason is that it may prevent problems caused in a condition of a virus outbreak. For example, the existence of such a unit may isolate people who were infected by the virus. Moreover, the sewage system is autonomous, so there is no way that the network of a city would be affected. According to the history of the virus, the countries that were initially affected by the virus, are found in West and Central Africa. For the diploma project were chosen the countries of West Africa for the location planning, because these countries have weak health systems. The unit has been designed based on the conditions necessary to combat an outbreak of the Ebola virus. Nevertheless, the unit as designed is suitable for other viruses too. For the design of the unit was chosen to use a vehicle in combination with a scissor - deployable structure. Furthermore, a study was made to design the unit as near net. This would help considerably if it is needed to transfer the unit in areas that are cut off from a city network.

This particular thesis concerns the creation of a guesthouse of mild tourism. The area of study of the above guesthouse is the island Prasouda of South of Pelion. The size of the island is 7,000 sq.m. and the closest distance from the main land is 800m. The island is easily accessed from the villages: Marathia, Melina and Horto. What makes Pressouda particularly special is the dense vegetation and the abandoned monastery Zoodohos Pigi built on the 11th century. The peculiarity of the above gesthouse lies with the monastic style of habitation. Beyond the agrotourism and the different activities that can be developed in nature cetain principles met in the monastic life are also kept here. Although the complex resembles quite with a simple guesthouse, the objectives of life are slightly different. This is why certain rules are followed and are listed below. The result of this effort is a blend of physical activities, public life and retreat. As for the part of activities the island of Prasouda is ideal for fishing, diving in underwater caves in the area and any type of physical activity that requires calmness. Apart from that it is mandatory for the guests to perform some social work either in cleaning up the coasts, or taking care of the olive trees. The way this idea comes to life into a building complex, is the creation of a simple cell which is recreated around the island and a main building that includes all the supportive uses. Obviously, the administration of such landscape could not be other than a mild formulation of a traffic network. The construction of any premises is studied with the perspective view of creating a minor print on the environment.

Human body is a blank paper on which are written society’s scenarios. Through the body, relationships are created among other animate or inanimate bodies. Subjectivity is what makes scenario to differ each time. So if we perceive the space of subjectivity through the body's senses, we can admit the plasticity that a place could have and its different qualities.

Hearing is an important human activity because it creates a close relationship with the dynamics of life. Through sound in pre-alphabet societies, language, culture broadcasted with Rhapsody and bards. The sound occurs along with time and space and that is its special feature.

Finally, the space, as our senses perceived it, is a product of relationships development between people, things, places, activities. Thus, communication is in the foreground to influence the structure of society and therefore architecture.

The ¨Kitrini Apothiki¨ is an industry landmark building for the city of Volos, in which different identities have been incorporated over time. As a prison and place of torture remained engraved in the memory of the locals and as a tobacco house played a key role in the local economy and society, minding the fact that tobacco was one of the basic city’s production and processing products. These identities through an interpretative approach revealed some life conditions and ways of communication. These elements were isolated and analyzed under the light of consciousness.
From this investigation rises the Ω2 (omegadio), a musical instrument for two. Through this, users improvise playing with the sounds they produce. Among them there is no eye contact and so are invited to interact with audio sounds from one being transported to the other and vice versa.
