During the study of the city could not focus our attention on the coastal area of Limassol. It is a vital point for the city and its inhabitants, both economically and socially, as a reference point. The Municipality acknowledging the important role has been recreated and offered to the public along the coast of the city as a promenade, sports and entertainment in accordance with European standards, in contrast to private-private initiative in the use of buildings mainly in tourism, offices and housing. The two disparate elements coexist with an ideologically invisible fence separating them.

Private initiatives operate at another level, in substance and in fact the opposite with the municipality and by extension the public, communal space. Economic development has been the city over the last decade has created fertile soil for the development of corporate logic and private interests, thus promoting the emergence of individuality and collectivity rather than the proposal comes as a solution to the current socio-economic problems.

Pluralism and cooperation for the common good of a society feel healthy practice with positive results especially in small communities. With this as a basis proto thought we decided to create a working model of the building where the operation will focus on actions and employee relations, partnerships and exchanges, thus creating a record of interactions available for all members. The individuality and hierarchy that usually exists in buildings work deleted, while highlighting the collective creation. We could call it as a system of "open source" where anyone can borrow him, him develop, modify it and to redefine with others.

Based on our expertise as architects, logic applies to a building intended for working professionals involved in the design and production of intangible resulting in material production through workshops.

The contact and collaboration between users laboratories and offices actually realized the existence of public spaces that serve as meeting points, generate new ideas and continuous exchange of communication. Adding shared building space to offices and laboratories interaction completes a system that dates back more as an entity in the city's waterfront. In the evolution of our idea, the system ceases to be introverted and just for workers and begins to converse with the world that surrounds it, since in addition to basic functions, spaces are added to the city as public.

So, you create a chain of relationships instead, according to corporate standards, start from the individual and ends up back on it, starts with the same base, individuality, passes through the collective interactions and leads to sociability. Namely, staff offices and laboratories contribute individually to a common way of thinking that goes into the realm of collective (building) and consolidated in the course of the social sphere (city), thus creating a complex and constantly changing system in the heart of the city.

As a reason of our diplomatic study we decided to create a new rowing club in Volos, and especially in the area of Anavros. It is a land by the sea, which belongs in the urban area and already offers hospitality to the existing rowing club NOVA. After studying and surveying the position we considered that the existing cluster of the club, which consists of two buildings not only is inefficient to cover the necessities of rowing club, but also it isn’t in harmony with the rest of the surrounding. So as a start we thought it is necessary to organize a building programme which will cover the necessities of a modern rowing club, which will have the ability of more facilities like restaurants, amusement halls. Also through our study, we suggest the recreation of the surrounding area, according to the characteristics of the area, like the soil and the water. As the result of all our efforts which derive from the specialties of the area, we suggest the development of Anavros in order to succeed in the increase of tourism.

The present dissertation, discourses the study of a lodging, whose aim is to fulfill the minimum requisites, all necessary for the living of a typical four-member greek family (2+2).

The whole design process took part, taking into great consideration: the ease with which the housing-unit can be constructed, the small amount of time needed for its completion, the preservation of a low cost budget plus the pleasant stay that its habitants can experience.

The bioclimatic profile of the lodging consists of: a number of big vertical openings towards the orientation axis East - West, used in order to: natural light to penetrate in a quite important depth into the house. Apart from natural lighting, these openings provide the possibility of their partial deposition, creating a controlled air flow which aims to the proper ventilation of the house. The lack of the existence of a certain piece of land-location (site plan) - meaning therefore the lack of the definition of the prevailing air direction - led to the need of the creation of a horizontal opening towards north, in an effort to take full advantage of the regional winds. Natural lighting and ventilation are also being reinforced by two windows placed on the ceiling.

A big opening towards North reassures – fulfilling and taking into consideration all the necessary insulation specifications – that natural light penetrates into the living space area during all day. The protection needed at the southern openings, is being provided both by an overhang construction element and by the settlement of a punctured roll of aluminium, which manages to cut away the total amount of the UV radiation. The external window panes towards the orientation axis East-West, are solar controlled, achieving conditions of thermal convenience during Winter-Summer period in the interior of the living space area.

The single inclination roof, offers the possibility of the collection of rain water and storage of this amount in - an appropriate for its cause - reservoir , ready to be used for gardening.

The thesis entitled “Prefabrication”, which preceded the present dissertation, played a definitive role in the choice of a construction method for this house, which turned out to be the exact method of prefabrication.

Both the house’s fundaments and the paving stone, are being constructed by reinforced concrete. The framework is metallic, consisted of two inflexible framings. The filling walls as well as the ceiling are being constructed by lightweight concrete panels. In the interior, the lodging is being padded by OSB leaves, while the insulation is being placed in the inner part of the supporting frame, in order to avoid the thermal gaps.

The system used is known as: a mixed structure, with elements of open prefabrication, used to provide morphological diversions and flexibility.

Finally, there was special attention given to the design of the living room area. What is being noticed here is the existence of big openings which eliminate visual and spatial “boundaries” that are usually being imposed by the “shell” of the house to its inhabitants. The result taken is a carefully accomplished union between the external environment and the internal space.

Subject of this thesis is to design building facilities that will accommodate the needs of Central Cooperative Bank. The project will consist of offices that serve the financial piece of the bank, but also social spaces such as conference-center and theater.

The choice of subject was in an open competition organized by the Central Cooperative Bank to meet the needs of the building complex. The contest provided this space to make the development and various restrictions functional nature. The goal for the choice of topic was handling the project through open competition.

Solving complex building program through an unambiguous functional structure integration bioclimatic architecture values and principles in the design and the need for a building with identity, so they have shaped this particular proposal. Strong element of discretion is the imposing volume of central office signals the presence of the building. He is accompanied by two individual building blocks. The volume on the left houses the cafeteria on the ground floor and the other floors consisting of offices. To the right on the ground floor is the shop Nicosia, and on the first floor is the lobby of the the convention center and on the second is the convention center.

The project will be carried out in Nicosia, capital of Cyprus. The spacer region and the avenue Athalassis at which the plot adjacent to other residential areas, however, they bring together a large number of public buildings supralocal nature. The facilities of the Electricity Authority of Cyprus and the Cyprus Olympic Committee, the two complexes of Central popular Bank and the Greek central bank, the church of St. Barnabas, which is high historic architecture and the crafts center are some of them. The seed is the proposal for a different life scenario, a different routine in decentralized and particularly autonomous structures away from the pulse and centralization of cities. The ultimate goal, to become the model for the promotion and documentation of a real, viable, "different" life scenario and moreover the reorganization of the Greek countryside (a living laboratory of an alternative lifestyle) that will get rid of the existing "Economic "context of social structures.

Aiming to the formation of different scenarios, real examples within and outside our country are identified and explored.  From this exploration revealed the role of the community in achieving its objectives and that the individual welfare is best served through the welfare of all. On this basis, a residential complex is planned, integrated into the natural environment as a useful part, structured by horizontal forms of organization and decision making, which renegotiates the sum of daily living, operating and construction practices.
