Nadia Kalara studied Fine Arts at the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and University of East London, School of Art and Design (MA). She holds a PhD from the University of Thessaly, department of Architecture, entitled Temporal Strategies in the Work of Robert Smithson.

Since 2012 she is a lecturer in Visual Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She taught Visual Arts at the University of Thessaly (2003-2011), the University of Patras, (2009-10) and at the postgraduate program of studies at NTUA, Departments of Architecture (2012-13).
