The contribution of Professor Spyros Papadopoulos of the University of Thessaly to the dynamic development of Greek animation will be post-mortem recognized by the Greek Animated Film Association ASIFA HELLAS at the Stratos Stasinos Awards Ceremony at the Hellenic American Union (22 Massalias Street, Athens) on Saturday, March 30th at 6:00 pm.
Spyros Papadopoulos was a member of ASIFA and the inspirer and organizer of the annual meeting "And yet it moves...", which brought together educators and festival organizers of animated designs every year at the Department of Architecture in Volos to promote the production of cartoons in Greece but also research and education in the moving image field.
The Greek Animated Film Association ASIFA HELLAS will award an honorary distinction to the family of Spyros Papadopoulos and the Greek animation community will undertake to continue his work on the path of developing collaborations between educators and creative people of Greek animation that the late Professor opened.
