DEPT. OF ARCHITECTURE
UNIVERSITY OF THESSALY

In the Department of Architecture two theoretical elective courses are offered, primarily addressed to architecture students in their 3rd, 4th, and 5th year of studies, but also open to the students of all other departments of the University of Thessaly . These courses are:

Gender and Space: from everyday life to design.
An introductory course in theories of gender and space with emphasis on research methodologies identifying alternative expressions of gendered identity in built space.

Women's places: cultural approaches to urban space.
The course proceeds to a systematic exposition of the feminist and other approaches to urban space that emerged from the context of cultural studies. In 2006 the course was renamed to Gendered places: cultural approaches to urban space.
