This research topic attempts to develop a creative discussion and criticism in reference to the document of Pier Vittorio Aureli “Architecture refuses” and themanifesto titled "Dogma" that comes after. It is the subject of a lecture that the Italian architect was invited to present in the context of AA Media Studies in 2009. With that text, through a line of reasoning that Aureli briefly develops, he makes the provocative characterization of the negation as "quintessence" of the manifesto. Furthermore, in direct correlation with the above reasoning, he submits his own provocative declaration, a manifesto consisting solely of objections.
Part of the reflection developed in this document, refers to the comparison of Aureli’s consideration with those of two others, to whom he greatly maintains his own consideration. It is about documents of the artist Ad Reinhardt, to which Aureli bases most of his manifesto, as well as documentsof the architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. So we see Aureli, to adopt the core of refusal by Reinhardt, but also to records objections of Mies to his own manifesto, before his personal objections. Along with this approach, the production method which Aureli proposes has been questioned and tested, while, where possible, an effort is made to analyze and criticize the argument that supports it.
