In the research, the social-economic conditions that led to the industrialization from the leading England to Pelion’s villages, are explored. The pre-industrial buildings of the 18th century located at the mount Pelion constitute the primary industry forms in the larger region of Magnesia.
The research expands not only to the architecture, urban design but also to the Pelion’s construction technology.
Conclusions concerning the motives and the local conditions are drawn through research and analysis of a sample of industrial buildings.
