A look back at the social (and political) background of the seventies-eighties, in post-colonial Greece and the simultaneous appearance of alternative magazines -zines- and magazines with homosexual content, made by Greek people. Decades full of worries, restrictions, lack of freedom in many aspects, but at the same time giving birth to people ready to fight for their beliefs and the same.
Feminism, the need for self-expression and the search for like-minded people to fight against a society entrenched in past times, under governments that did not make conditions easier, rallying in undergrounds, then on the streets, then wherever possible.
Alternative magazines (in terms of design, title, subject matter) and their influence on how we know the world today, their artistic mark and the expression of a Greek reality from another point of view - Leonidas Christakis and the road with his ideas-, LGBTQI+ magazines that raised and educated generations to be real (and informed) -the case of "Amfi" (" Αμφί") that appeared and challenged a reality unshakable until then, its struggle and its undoubted influence, and other magazines that they followed the path it laid out and became a boulevard, a type of press critical, commenting, ready to criticize and be upfront and which did not hesitate to express reality from a personal look, that was criticized by the social mass-, the dialogue with the parallel happenings on the world map and the discussion between words, texts, poems, images.
Covers that shocked, layout and design that changed and characterized the graphic character of an era that we still return to today.
