Architecture and martial arts. Two fundamental concepts that are far from each other in terms connection, but if we put the concept of space and man in it in a leading role, we observe a point of intersection. The interaction between one art and the other is evident even with regard to the external environment, nature. The architecture of nature, the way the images we see are constructed, the consistency of materials and their mixing, the textures, the colours influence and have an impact on the way martial art works. Numerous offensive and defensive techniques are inspired by nature and specifically liken animal movements. There is also a perceptible influence in terms of kinesiology in space. The movements have a variety of directions, sometimes linear, circular or rotational. In terms of architecture in this piece, there are not a few times when we observe a building and the it is constructed gives a sense that the structure is in motion.
In the research that has been carried out, concepts that are directly related to the interaction of the two above concepts of balance will be formulated and a comparison will be made in relation to another art form, that of dance. It will be mentioned to the following chapters that the martial art has an inseparable relationship with the art of dance in many fields. It will be used as a tool for understanding movement in space which will help to consolidate the concept of space in architecture. Therefore, by searching, comparing, studying, and concluding we conclude that body and space can unfold into many other fields through which innovative paths and inventive conclusions can be drawn.
