This research paper analyses how everyday life is organized in relation to time and space. What the role of the list is, (as a part of the oral tradition or as a part of any existing writing system) as a classification tool and as a construction mechanism of “truth”- the reality of everyday life. What is the impact of the list on the person’s perception of the world and how it can be used (as a constructive or collapsing tool of the order- individual order or order of a community).
The first part consists of a detailed description of the list (or catalogue), as its role to the construction of order (or chaos) is crucial. We observe the changes that have affected it and also the transition from description to systematic classification. Studying the list and how it applies to the writing and literature field, we are able to apply the same principles to other fields that are related to perception configuration, the way of thinking and therefore the practice of everyday life.
The second part presents the evolution of memory and the transition from the oral tradition to writing. Memory is closely linked with the list, while list consists a mnemonic tool and the analysis of the art of memory contributed to the development of scientific method.
The third and last part analyses the dual character of society, consisting of the objective real state and the subjective meaning. This description is necessary in order to understand the following topics that are related to classification, settlement ideas from a given frame and person as individual that can be influenced by society and influence society as well.
