The following research project is about a trek from Exarheia square to Fokionos Negri square through Patission avenue, with references to the architecture of that areas (1950-1980) and the way in which the social and political conditions that create this specific setting, are described through history of theater and cinema of that era. Architecture, always related with other arts, follows or comes across the facts taking place in this area? How could we interpret the meaning of the drama in this title? Is Exarheia a misunderstood neighbourhood or has Kypseli lost the glory and the charms that used to have in the past? Exarheia and Kypseli, as a scenographic field of drama, challenge us with their stories, to discover and to love them even more. We love to hear stories from the past, something like that could be described as a play, as a story in which protagonists are people around us, or even ourselves! The places where drama lies, theaters and cinemas, which have a fair presence in the specific area, throughout their work circumscribe some special social groups. These social groups are among us and present  two neighborhoods where everyone will eventually want to live! Specifically, we will attempt to present a documentary narrating and illustrating all the above, while highlighting shots that show the architecture of Exarheia and Kypseli as it is today, but also the corresponding social, political and cultural context. The selection of these areas is a challenge for us because of their diversity, as they have been, and still continue to be a magnetic pole for events and actions that have marked and still mark the modern history of the city.
