Utopia, the dreamed city, the ideal one. During the evolutionary course of the history of cities, many have dreamed of it. Platon dreamed his Politia , Ythlodaios the Utopia , Ouels the contemporary utopia and many other writers , men of letters and philosophers  imagine their own perfect city , which they present to the audience through their lyings .

 But which are the utopias of our time? How are they presented to the rest of the world? We live in the time of images; photography, painting and cinema are the new ways of expression for everyone’s prospect. Cinema is the mean with the greatest resonance and the more followers, the bombardment of successive pictures helps the spectator to understand better anyone’s ideas and thesis. Through cinema, contemporary philosophers and designers present their own utopias, which are either influenced by elder ones, or innovate on design and suggest new social structures. These utopias, the ones presented through contemporary cinema are the subject of my study and research.
