This research addresses the concept of bioclimatic design in outdoor urban spaces inside the city. The purpose of this research is to raise ecological awareness and to present all the benefits that are generated throughout good study combined with a sustainable approach during the design process. This research is divided into three main axes. Theory - Reality - Improvement. The first part is an extensive reference to all the aspects and factors that shape the existing environmental situation and thus affect the design process itself. Theoretical insight that provides the necessary foundations in order to understand all the technical and environmental parameters that have a fundamental role. Following this, there is a reference in the present and current situation that applies in outdoor urban spaces today. Problems that have arisen from the lack of good design are identified and presented but in the meanwhile there is a reference to all the measures and actions that are being taken in order to correct and improve the existing conditions. Furthermore, there is a quick report of examples with sustainable design concerning outdoor urban spaces and urban equipment. In the final part, there is a question on whether it is possible to improve the conditions of urban comfort with some kind of sustainable intervention. Basically, there is a study that explores the design of an urban equipment, that will comply with the rules of sustainable design, and that will provide comfort to those who are exposed in outdoor urban conditions. Specifically, what is proposed is a new Bus-Stop situated at the Central Bus Station, which will be offered to the users of the buses that are more or less obliged to stay in outdoor spaces.
