This work is an extensive analysis of wood or timber, its historical retrospection from the prehistoric period up to the 19th century, its physiology, qualities, as well as the various types of timber used in manufacturing today. During this investigation, many questions regarding the nature of wood have emerged.
I have started by collecting general information regarding timber and with the help of a carpenter I have managed to gather 14 different types of wood samples. These samples were chosen based on their use in timber manufacturing as well as the carpenters' workshop. They are both local and imported from abroad.
At the same time I have used human senses as a second factor for analysis by observing the direct or indirect contact with timber and its affect on the human psyche.
