Bernd and Hilla Becher are two of the most important artists – architecture photographers, whose work belongs to conceptual art. These two artists record industrial clusters of buildings in Europe and America, from the beginning of their career till now. The recognition of their work comes as a result of their constant interest about industrial buildings and the way they display them using the Kanavosin order to be easily compared. Apart, from influencing other photographers their photographs are a valuable archive for the history of the industrial architecture. Using photography as art, Bechers with the contribution of industrial archeology helped some of the most important industrial buildings to be restored, pushed by the faces of buildings under the threat of destruction and by the abandonment of some of the industrial technical procedures and functions.
