My research that began in January 2005 for educational reasons (history - urban planning etc.) finallyled to the recordingofmy emotionsfor the symbol of Athens, the Omonia square, withoutany planning. My interest was focused in the small details: in the ways - the relations - the appearance - in loneliness - in the incompatible familiarity of persons, in the chaos - the hard differences - in sneaky - concealed - dirty - cheap - mystery - hallucination - in the abandonment of space. “Scattered” excites my imagination, I did not want to control it or to withhold it but to record it as unmixed characteristic that if it is absent or is arranged, the intensity of space will be lost.
The architectural action that I attempted is a recognition - recording under form of drawings, montage, depictions, fittings of accidental, incohesive, abandoned, of the uncertainty, the query that however composes the uncontradictable centre of Athens. From the morning till the afternoon of a day or a hundred days the recording of movements, experimentations, explorations, observations composed partial mapping of an explanatory game that does not finish and is transported unedited in the paper or on camera with devotion to my aim: the imprinting of the aesthetic reality without politeness, ways, sciences or directions.
My subject, unstable and fleeting in a live organism that resists, it is converted and disputed, never however uninteresting.
