The documentation of my probative thought is based on a series of successive extensions with main reference the physiognomy of Narcissus. Narcissus is the protagonist in the whole part of my research, and his protagonistic role has a symbolic meaning to the interpretation of the story.
The myth of Narcissus is the motivation for the evidence of my research project. Central point of the above myth is the conclusion that people get instantly irritated by the extension of their own self, in relation to a functional world. The physical inclination of each person for a constant extension of its own self, aiming to prove its narcissistic image, is the main motive for a succession of thoughts on the basis of their thesis approval.
The narrative form of Narcissus continuous extensions is based on tree unities, and takes place in the contemporary every day life, parallelized with the natural model of ancient Narcissus. Through the narration, the extension of ‘contemporary Narcissus’ is imprinted through his intention for the projection of himself in successive realities. Each one of the tree unities, narcissism, seduction and representation, forms a new chapter for the construction of the research project, and represents, each time from the beginning, a different reality to the constant extension of Narcissus. With narcissism, Narcissus discovers its human substance, through seduction, he transfers himself to space trying to investigate it, and in representation he extends himself to the dimension of time, making sure of his eternal reproduction.
In the conclusion, the story of Narcissus ends up to the beginning point, cycling the meaning of representation and reproduction of everything.
