The development of the campus of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki was chosen to be presented for the researching course of the ninth semester. This is the biggest university institution in the country both in geographical size as well as in the number of available scientific fields. More specifically, one can examine the evolution of the campus, dividing the history of the institution in three time periods about 25 years each, since in 2001 it completed 75 years of service, by analyzing the prescriptive designs of each season, such as the buildings of the Faculties that constitute it.
On the other hand, Aristotle University, which was developed at the center of Thessaloniki and was the only university in the Northern Greece for the longest period of its service, long–term affects the history of the city that it is hosted in, while accepting important influences itself. The social and the cultural interactions between the university and the city of Thessaloniki will be mostly examined at the present project.
