This research project is realized at the mountain Pelio, and deals with the variation of the natural site, in combination with the observer’s visual contact with this particular place. It is carried out through four different hiking: each one is indicated by it’s own specific aspects and characteristics. Initiating from a village settled at the coastline of Pagasitikos, we pass through mountainous settlements, to end up at Aegean coasts.
The diversity of all of the aspects and information we confront, the constant interchange of the colors and textures and the alteration of the road network that connects multiple points and places, have given us the motivation to approach and record all the elements that construct and form the landscape, through the point of view of the wandering observer. The seasons each time change and consequently so does the site. The project’s intention, is not just a historical, architectural or cultural recording of facts, but the simultaneous concentration and projection, of diverse elements, revealed only by examining and living the site.
Concluding we comment, that the conception of the landscape differs from one person to another, being inevitably and steadily connected to the way that each individual experiences it.
