The aim of this research work is to investigate the critical issue that Greek cities face today, regarding the lack of greenery. Through the analysis of the time evolutions of the cutting and planting of trees, many conclusions are drawn about the way urban greenery is managed by the authorities and the size of the development possibilities through the formation of new parks. In that way, having understood the concept of urban greenery and studying the approaches of scientists regarding its proper care, it is possible to approach the subject to a greater extent and it becomes easier to find solutions for this problem. As, climate change brings effects that greatly affect the microclimate of the city and actions by the municipality need to be immediate and effective.
