What is "glamping" and what elements differentiate it from "camping" in it’s classic form? What more can it offer us and what is the purpose that it was created for? What are the boundaries between camping and holiday accommodation and how are these interpreted today in terms of design? A historical review is carried out investigating the beginning of camping used for amusement and other uses as well. Following the evolution of history until today, examples from Greece and abroad are presented, which are studied from different angles, are compared and contrasted in an attempt to clarify the term "glamping" and what it can imply architecturally, touristically, socially. Finally, a personal research of applied examples of glamping in the Greek area is presented, with interviews, visual and audio material as well as studies that have been carried out for construction, looking for what has been embraced by our country.
