Our research topic deals with the course of man through the years from antiquity until today in his search for the unknown. The history of human civilization is largely based on the development of the science of astronomy. It was through this science that human civilization experienced great evolution. An important role in evolution was played by the Ancient Greek civilization with methods of observation and discovery that until today the scientific community relies on them. Due to the development of astronomy, the need for better infrastructure was born and in this way the first buildings associated with astronomy were created. One of these buildings is Stonehenge in Great Britain, which even nowadays scientists do not know for sure its exact use. Through studies in the area we come to the conclusion that for the construction of Stonehenge the ancients relied on astronomical observations. In the course of man, the observation areas were converted into observatories. The architecture of observatories has also evolved over the years along with sciences. Important observatories established in Europe that helped develop civilization were the Observatory of Greenwich and Paris. In Greece, the first observatory to be established is the Athens Observatory and several years later the Skinakas Observatory is founded in Crete to assist in modern celestial observations. With the modern equipment of the observatory, Nebulae, Galaxies, Stars and other celestial phenomena were observed.
