This research project started from our love and hate but also our attraction to the big city. The multiplicity of its experiences, the infinite combinations of stimuli it can offer us. Of course, this is also a masochistic pleasure - this "chaos" - is the chaos of decadence, the appearance of all social problems, the inhuman neglect of the dreams and needs of its inhabitants on the altar of profit and order. But in the midst of chaos and decadence, there are a few things that they will make their appearance, resistance, conflict and war, hope and solidarity and the movements. This is the paradoxical magic of the big city; it is the place where dreams are stifled but also the place where they are born into.
In this research paper we’ll attempt a synthesis of a way of interpreting and visualizing the city. We’ll look to the past, study the present, theoretically and empirically, and build our theoretical tools, but also our own dreams and visions. The result, according to our viewpoint, is a connection of concepts from the past with theories of the present and our own visions and spatial studies. In order to see the city beyond its superficial decline and to envision a city of infinite experiences and dreams.
