This design approach can define a pleasing result with details such as different lighting levels, its use as a customer direction and design according to the concept, the target audience and the space itself.Proper lighting can offer many benefits to a restaurant. More specifically, from economic benefits, due to low consumption, to a pleasant result with a unique identity. The categories of lighting and design theories are pointed out, with the most important being that of J. Flynn. Also important are the examples of restaurant design in the 2000s in Europe and an experiment in which they gradually changed the color temperature to study the guest's dining experience. Finally, in the context of the study, a research was carried out, using university equipment, lighting measurements were made in 8 stores in Volos. Four categories, tavern, fast food, all-day café and restaurants. With very interesting results, such as the differences between fast foods and restaurants.
