The abandonment of a building coincides with the moment of his death. Abandoned structures are found in each of our tours both inside and outside the city. Structures that are out of time, standing frozen in a state of inertia. Released from their old use, ready to receive new ones and regain life. But how many of us know what was the building that caught our eye before it led to decline and abandonment?
The starting point of this special topic research was set with the selection of the abandoned beach of E.O.T. in the area of Agia Triada. A small seaside village that is a few kilometers away, 25, from the city of Thessaloniki and that unfortunately is now in a meteoric state. In the past decades, the place experienced intense moments of glory as it was one of the most important holiday resorts in north Greece. A beach with unprecedented facilities and infrastructures that every day gathered hundreds of people. People of all ages who wanted to enjoy the clear sea, the open landscape and the services offered by the beach boarded the ships and buses with on direction, this of Agia Triada. The most privileged reached the area with their private cars.
With the driving force of nostalgia and memory accompanying her, the main purpose of this paper is to tell a narrative of the history both of the area and the human relationship with the beach. From the past to the present. From the way the village began to be organized and developed until the operation of the organized beach and its decline. Life practices of the past are deposited in an empty place. A place that today is abandoned and revived through an alloy of memories and fantasies
