The present research paper concerns the work of the architect Louis I. Kahn while examining the concept of myth. Louis Kahn is one of the most innovative architects of the 20th century. He is considered a prominent architectural figure of late modernism and one of the first to mark the transition to postmodernism. A special feature of his later work is the idea of sublime, as it was processed and managed in an original and innovative way. He managed to merge in his work structural ways, techniques, typologies and other elements from distant times in order to substantiate a complex work, through its simplicity and expressive through its silence. Throughout the work, a part of his work is taken into account, which is thoroughly explored at the level of theory and design approach. These works, in addition to being among the masterpieces of the architect, are offered to highlight features of the myth. Certain features are sought in the works related to the myth but also found more widely in his work. Based on this analysis, a definition of the myth emerges. Extending the quests and reasoning of the architect, reflections and questions are raised about the virtues of the works.
