In this study, we analyze the architecture of type in its relation to space. From its origins, typography played a significant role in human communication. We tried to understand its importance in our everyday lives, by dissecting its anatomy and explaining it in basic terms. We show this in the shape of the diagrams that we designed. We understood that typography has a significant impact on the built environment and human behavior. Depending on the way that it is used, can influence the readability of a space. We analyzed the elements that affect the readability of type and its surroundings. Guiding our research around typographic information that we receive daily, we focused on spaces in our country. Using photographs, we collected places in Greece that use typography for communication. The outcome of this work frames the basis of further work in the space of typography and its environment.
