My study consists of two parts. The first one is about photogrammetry. A contemporary technique to generate 3d digital models of buildings using photographs. This technique has application in archeology, topography, industrial design, movies and advertising. Further more, part one also presents a test between some of the photogrammetry programs to compare their efficiency. The second part showcased the transition of a 3d scanned model to an energy model and an example of an energy simulation to test the efficiency of use photogrammetry to generate energy models. This study was suggested by my professor Aristidis Tsangkrasoulis. I am a photographer and in one of our conversations he introduced me to photogrammetry and the possibility to use it to generate energy models. So I acquired the adequate gear and started investigating the efficiency and use of photogrammetry at generating energy models.
