The purpose of this research is the production of phototechnical studies, using alternative scenarios, lighting systems and technical features in four different internal areas. In particular, the areas that are chosen are a small office, a multi-office space, a classroom and a single hospital room. Different versions and suggestions will occur for each room, which will be published online to help students in education and studiers in choosing a suitable lighting system. The application of the lighting installation and the extraction of the simulation results is performed using the software ReluxDesktop 2018.2. Firstly, an introduction to lighting is described through the reference of fundamental concepts of lighting technology and the description of how lighting affects human and the circadian rhythm. A reference is also made to the innovative lighting method “HCL”, as well as the presentation of technical elements of artificial lighting such as lamps and luminairies. Thereafter, EN 12464-1 and the Technical Instruction of the Technical Chamber of Greece 20701-1 / 2017 are presented and analyzed regarding the criteria for indoor lighting installations that need to be fulfilled. Finally, the lighting installation in the four premises under study is implemented, the outlined charts and results are presented and a summary of conclusions and suggestions is made.
