Light is indissolubly linked to the human life and plays a key role in many activities of his life. Its lack may cause a decrease in his visual ability and perception and also may affect his psychology. For these reasons, it is necessary to study the production of daylight systems. Such systems are also lightpipes. These are linear systems that can be horizontal or vertical, flexible or rigid and are used to transfer natural light to the core of buildings.
Their function is based on refractionand reflection. In particular, the sun's rays enter through a transparent dome-collector, penetrate into the tube and after multiple reflections reach the lower end from where it diffuses into a space.
Some of the companies that produce light pipes are: Elite Solar Systems, Fakro, Monodraught, Skyshade, Solarise and others.Apart from these, however, there are others that are involved in producing additional systems to improve the efficiency of the light pipes. Such companies are Heliobus, Lumena Solar, Sunportal and others.
The systems produced by the above-mentioned companies are for domestic as well as for commercial use. Light pipes can be applied to homes, office buildings, hospitals and school buildings, stores, entertainment and sports facilities, in warehouses, and wherever there is a need for high levels of lighting.
Based on all of these, we understand the importance of the existence of daylight systems, and therefore, we have designed an additional system to improve the performance of a light pipe. The additive we recommend is attached to the upper end of the light pipe and has a mirror that moves in such a way, that it redirects the incident sun rays, always vertically into the interior of the tube. By using a chip, it detects and follows the sun's trajectory and rotates to make the best use of its rays.
