People as social beings were the focal point. The way in which they have been analyzed refers to the creation of communities and their coexistence, resulting in the creation of cities. However, our intention is not the identification of the city, but its direct relationship with the public space, as well as the way it is being utilized by individuals. As a consequence of this relationship, actions are being developed on a fertile ground, this of public space. The main concern was the degree of evolution and the spread of changes in the city’s structure due to the actions that are taking place in the public space.
The main purpose of this research is the study of the collective forms of art, by analyzing actions of specific groups in the city of Athens, from the 90s until today. The aim is the interpretation of the groups based on a theoretical background and their correlation with similar actions. This is achieved by having their own speech as a key tool, through interviews, intending to a further deepening of the subject.
In particular, a general background is the Postmodernism and the modern European city, while the main concepts that will be analyzed are the political, politics, performativity, communities, public art, the mutual support, the regularity of the body as a social construction and the of art installation.
For the consummation of the theme, it is necessary to criticize the analyzed actions, as well as the review and the retrospection of places where the actions took place. Aiming to a redefinition of the city as a continuous flow of its regularity, the documentation of the issue is remarkable, both through the theoretical background, and the relationship with the international environment.
