The meaningof temporary indicates the exposure of objects and situations in time. The issue of time has always concerned and continues to concern the mankind. The modern way of living has turned the concept of temporality to a dominant living factor. The continuous changes in working and residential environments affect the way people deal with situations of permanence and thus lead to the acceptance of ephemeral situations which once were considered obsolete.
The attempt ofthis research is a classification of ephemeral events, according to their duration and the space in which they take place. In addition, social, economic and political contexts are taken into account. At first, the methodology followed is presented with the help of diagrams so that the complexity of the phenomena and their temporal and spatial parameters are being understood. Afterwards, the phenomena are analyzed according to the classification categories. In the first chapter is analysedthe concept of pending in daily life, as a way of living, but also as a presence in spaceandin the second are presented various actions of the crowd, expressing opposition to an idea or situation.Furthermore, is analysed the practice of outdoor markets, the organization of festivals, the urban renewals and the habit of holidays. Then, is interpreted the changing of the city models as an effect of the various time gears moving slowly inside them and finally in the eighth the movement of the crowd as a result of tradition, financial difficulties, or even ambitions. The aim is the study, the analysis and the description as well as the connection of these ephemeral situations. In this way, is attempted the redefinition of the concept of temporality in architecture.
