And yet it moves: 70 years of Greek Animation, Education - Production - Communication

The Laboratory of Multimodal Design and Research on Hybrid Environments (EscapeLab) and the Laboratory of Environmental Communication and Audiovisual Representation (LECAD), Department of Architecture, University of Thessaly, organise the "AND YET IT MOVES: 70 years of Greek Animation, Education - Production - Communication" symposium.

The theme of the symposium focuses on the Greek Animation­ scene in order to illuminate its contemporary approaches in the field of education, production and communication. Specifically, on the occasion of the celebration of 70 years of Greek Animation, the symposium aims at presenting the educational practices related to social and public awareness issues as well as creating a meeting point for Greek artists in order to enhance and promote the Greek production of animated films.

The meeting will be held at the Department of Architecture, University of Thessaly, Volos on Friday, 27th of May 2016

The OIKONET project, is funded from LLLP EU. and it involves 34 institutions mainly from Europe (the Dept. of Architecture, UTH being one of them). Its scope is to interlink pedagogical activities, research on housing studies and community participation through a joint program of activities including workshops, seminars and conferences. The exhibition presents some of the students' work produced during the Lisbon Workshop in 2014 and Cottbus Workshop in 2015. More info at: www.oikodomos.org

On-line lecture by Leandro Madrazo & Angel Martin Cojo from School of Architecture La Salle, Universitat Ramon Liull, Barcelona "Urban Systems: Understanding Barcelona's Super Block".

The lecture is part of the OIKONET European Project and it is incorporated in the curriculum of the Planning II: Urban design course.
