This research paper focuses on the interaction of user and space, which intensifies their bilateral form negotiation, out and beyond of typical social behavior. As a case study the school of Summerhill in England was chosen, because of its organisation in a liberal democratic society. The paper develops in four sections: Summerhill's description / Summerhill's Philosophy, structure of Housing, structure of Space/ Time administration/ Space administration. The last sesction about Space administration is developed taking into regard the theory about the creative user by Jonathan Hill, the theory of “energetics” as carriers of function, and of space itself through the use of Space syntax. From the above combinatory space analysis the Basic conclusin emerges: The dependence of freedom of the educational procedure from the freedom to manipulte space in Summerhill. This dependence, even though obvious on a first level, defines the experience of the user, with or without Architects.
